Tracy White will outline a brief history of dramatic poetry and then quickly focus on contemporary examples of the form. Students will learn the power that dramatic poems have to create vivid scenes and characters (human, animal, plant, force of nature, etc.) that express deep emotions . Students will be taught the importance of using metaphors, similes, the five senses, concrete VS abstract language, and unique verbs, nouns, and adjectives in their writing. Students will have the opportunity to share what they have written and discuss their work. This workshop is brought to you
