. Lisa was
born in
Davenport
,
IA
, in 1965, attended
Marycrest
College
, receiving a BA with honors in Computer Graphics in
1987 and worked for the Quad City Times where she redesigned the Bix
7 logo. In the 90’s,
Lisa lived in Milwaukee, WI, where she continued to develop as a
painter while working for the Milwaukee Public School system and
then Falls Mills Greenhouse. In
2001, she joined
Distinctive
Gardens
and established a home studio where she has painted
ever since. In 2003, for
Quad City Arts Festival of Trees, Lisa collaborated with Jim Brown
and Bud LeFevre on the tree, “Through the Woods,” taking awards: Best of Show Professional, Most Artistic
Professional and People’s Choice Professional.
In 2005, First
Christian Church in
Dixon
,
IL
, commissioned her to produce
two fourteen
foot church sanctuary paintings.
She has received numerous awards for her work, including
three consecutive Best of Shows at the Phidian Art show in
Dixon
. Her work
is held primarily in
Midwest
