Now - End of June
A visit to the Quad City International Airport this
month features the work of two artists:
Guy Loraine
Loraine is sculptor from
Des Moines who creates
wonderfully intricate sculptures based on the
relationship between industry, science and
nature. He uses a variety of materials including
copper, sterling silver, Baltic birch, and enamel.
Loraine is a Japan Fulbright Memorial Fund
Scholar and has a BFA in photography from
The Maryland Institute of Art.
Caroline Mastroianni
This painter from Freeport,
Illinois exhibits
paintings featuring flowers and “magical
and realistic interiors, both with an underlying
allegorical element.” Since receiving her
Bachelor of Science from South Dakota in 1968
she has pursued a career in studio painting and
sculpture and taught art in the Freeport area.
She has work in private and corporate collections
throughout the Midwest, Arizona, Oregon,
Washington, Texas, Florida and Great Britain.
