Quad City Arts invites artists residing within a 250-mile radius of the Quad Cities to submit a proposal for a gallery exhibition in one of our two gallery spaces during 2014-15. Artists who have exhibited at one of Quad City Arts’ galleries within the past two years will be considered for exhibition in the alternate space. For example, if you were selected for a show at the airport during 2012-2013, you are eligible to exhibit at the Rock Island Gallery. Proposals for collaborative or group shows are accepted with selection based on the strength of the entire group. All media will be considered. Everyone is eligible to enter as an individual as well as part of a group. Please keep in mind that the purpose of the exhibition is to not only show your work, but to further your career through sales of your work. If selected, most of the work should be for sale.

Quad City Arts Rock Island Gallery

Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport

Quad City Arts Rock Island Gallery is located in what was once a turn-of-the-century department store with hard-wood floors and a fourteen foot high ceiling. The exhibition gallery has more than 1,500 square feet of space and a minimum of 106 running feet of wall space. Exhibits in this gallery last approximately 7 weeks. There are floor-to-ceiling north-facing windows overlooking the Mississippi River. This popular space is available for community meetings and special events. A sales gallery on the north end of the building represents artwork by local and regional artists. Exhibitions in this space include a community reception at no additional cost.

 

Quad City Arts Art @ the Airport is a formal contemporary gallery at the Quad City International Airport. It houses approximately 1,600 square feet of exhibition space in 7’ tall, locked, glass cases. Over 2 million visitors view this space annually. The gallery is located before the security checkpoint, in the main arrival/departure seating area. The two-month exhibits occasionally pair regional artist’s work with works from private, corporate and institutional collections including artifacts and/or natural specimens.
