“EXHALE,” Mixed Media works by Brian Schulz
Quad Cities native Brian Schulz is a mixed media artist best known for his vibrant yet gritty street art inspired portraits. Brian is a self-taught artist who uses his work to convey thought provoking messages to the viewer. His portraits are created using spray paint over brightly colored and heavily textured mixed media collages. The background collage work is built up using many layers of materials ranging from acrylic paint to vintage newspapers. Brian draws inspiration heavily from graffiti and topics such as politics, social media and modern pop culture. Brian’s original work and prints have been purchased and collected across the world.
