Featured Artist at our Gallery StoreNathaniel KraftNathaniel Kraft is a Davenport based artist and museum professional originally from Fargo, ND. He received his BA in Art History and Studio Art at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN in 2017 and his MA in Museum Studies at Western Illinois University-Quad Cities in 2019. Nathaniel creates abstract acrylic paintings that utilize formal properties like color, line, shape, and texture to visualize personal memories and emotion. His art style takes on inspiration from Abstract Expressionism and Surrealism through a process of combining different painting techniques he studies. Once done, the work aims to elicit reactions people have when subconscious memories or emotions are associated with what they see in the artwork.
