with world-class performing artists

Don’t miss your chance to see WORLD-CLASS performing artists from our Visiting Artist Series and support arts education in our community.

Get your tickets today!

Enjoy a unique opportunity to see a full-length performance by featured artists from our Visiting Artist Series, followed by curated conversation and a meet and greet with the artist. Hear about their experiences with students in schools, their background, technique, collaborations and more!

Doors will open at 6:30 pm for 7:00 pm performance and conversation with the artist.

The Visiting Artist Series is a nationally recognized residency program that brings world-class artists from different artistic and cultural backgrounds directly into schools to do outreach performances that might otherwise be out of reach. Over 29,000 students each year are provided the opportunity to experience a Visiting Artist in their school.

All proceeds benefit the Visiting Artist Series, a program that has brought GRAMMY Award winning artists to the Quad Cities since 1974! You can view all previous artists in our Archives page. A typical season brings 8-10 artists ensembles, providing over 29,000 K-12 students access to live performances that might otherwise be out of reach.

To be recognized as a sponsor of the concert series in our programs, website and communications, please contact Karie Gilson at kgilson@quadcityarts.com or 309-793-1213 x104.

Grosse Isle
traditional music from
Quebec & Ireland

March 23, 2024
7PM Performance
Skylark Studios

The traditional music trio Grosse Isle was born out of the “absolutely magical” collaboration between three exceptional musicians from Quebec and Ireland (The Irish Music Magazine). Together, Sophie Lavoie du Lac-St-Jean (fiddle, piano, vocal), Andre´ Marchand the legendary (guitar, vocal), and Fiachra O’Regan, Irish champion (uilleann pipes, whistle, banjo) shine with their rich and enveloping music. The band name refers to the story of the mass arrival of the Irish in the 19th century, on Grosse I^le in the St. Lawrence River, as they fled the Great Famine. It is a striking encounter between two peoples and two cultures. Fusing Irish and Que´be´cois repertoire with original compositions, Grosse Isle presents pieces from the album The Bonesetter as well as many surprises on stage! The harmonious blend of the two cultures, the authenticity and the immense talent of the artists give a sublime result!
