Moline Public Art Commission Mural CallThe Moline Public Art Commission and Quad City Arts are seeking an artist (or artist team) to design and install a vibrant, interactive mural at Bass Street Landing Plaza, 1601 River Drive, Moline, Illinois. The artist must reside in specified counties in Illinois or Iowa. The lively plaza, featuring a performance stage and splash pad, serves as a hub for community events, making it an ideal location for a mural that encourages interaction and photo opportunities. This project aims to enhance community pride, beautify the area, and promote visual arts.
Learn more here. Organization: Moline Public Art Commission Entry Fee: FREE Payment: $4,000— 50% to be paid upon starting and 50% within 2 weeks of completion of the mural. This fee includes all associated costs of creation (i.e., materials, paint, transportation, etc.). Please note that baker scaffolding will be provided if needed. All selected finalists who are asked to submit a design proposal will receive a $500 stipend. HArmony Fest art ContestThe Quad Cities Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees (QCAIR) seeks artists in three age group categories (Youth-12 years old and younger | Young Adult 13-17 years old | and Adult 18+) for an art contest taking place at Harmony Fest: A Multicultural Festival on September 7, 2024. Prizes will be awarded in each age category. This contest is for paintings only, and all entries must not be larger than 16 x 20in. Only one entry per person is allowed, and all entries must have an artwork release form accompanied with them.

Call for Entry: "It's Fine. Everything is Fine."Quad City Arts invites artists 18 and older, residing within 250 miles of the Quad Cities to
submit up to 3 works of art of any medium, for a juried, group exhibition in our Rock Island Gallery from October 11-December 6th, 2024. Submitted work will depict the artist’s interpretation of the statement, “It’s fine. Everything is fine.” Selected work must be original and framed or otherwise prepared for installation. "Garbage Glam" Call for ArtistsThe Putnam Museum and Science Center is seeking artists & designers to participate in our second annual recycling fashion show, Garbage Glam on Saturday, October 5.
Originally inspired by last year’s JUNKraft exhibit, we have decided to make this celebration of fashion and spotlight on plastic pollution an annual tradition. Designers collect recycled materials and craft a “garment” using at least 70% reused materials. Craft dresses, jackets, suits, or anything your model can wear down the runway. Regional Contemporary WoodTurning ExhibitionQuad City Arts is hosting a woodturning exhibition February-May of 2025. All woodturners residing within 250 miles of Rock Island, IL, are eligible and may enter up to 3 Pieces of work for show and sale in two galleries. Artisans are free to use any medium, but at least part of the piece must be created on a lathe. Work must not exceed 24” in any dimension. Collaborations are accepted. Entry fee is $30.

Second Avenue Window GalleryQuad City Arts features the work of emerging artists who have 10-20 canvases or framed pieces of art to exhibit in our Second Avenue Window Gallery for 6-8 weeks. Sculpture is also welcome. All artists will be featured with their own page on our website during the exhibit. Become a Featured Artist on "Quad Cities Live"KWQC TV6 and Quad City Arts has formed a partnership to feature artists on their latest Friday segment "QC Live". TV6 encourages local artists to create and submit new versions of their Quad Cities Live logo. During these segments artists are able to talk about the inspiration for their logo and feature up to seven (7) pieces of artwork. All interviews are currently done remotely.
