By sharing these local calls for entry, public art commissions, juried art competitions, sculpture commission and available grants, we further our mission by providing paid and beneficial opportunities for artists to thrive in our community.

We invite artists to be a part of our Artist Index. This digital platform is completely FREE and is meant to be a resource for the community. The index can aid in searching for artists to hire for commissions, purchasing regional art, working on corporate/city projects, or just exploring and seeing the talent in our region.

Deck the Downtown: Call for Window Artists

The vibrant downtowns of Bettendorf, Davenport, and Rock Island are inviting artists to illuminate the holiday season with your creative vision! We are seeking artists to help us transform the windows of businesses into enchanting holiday displays. Let your creativity shine and help us spread the joy of the holiday season throughout our downtown districts.

A stipend of $300 will be provided per business location, and a public vote will be taken to vote on their favorite displays. The artists/teams with the top votes will be awarded downtown gift cards and a grand prize gift basket for the artist with the most votes.

CALL FOR ENTRY: Maple City Fine Arts Exhibit

Artists are invited to enter up to 5 pieces in the Maple City Fine Arts Exhibit. Entries must be dropped off during one of the given timeslots, and entries will be displayed at the Geneseo Gallery. Cash prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places during a ceremony held on October 8, at The Cellar restaurant. All entrants will also be entered in a raffle giveaway.

Light sculpture Call for Allerton Holiday Glow

Allerton Park and Retreat Center’s annual holiday GLOW event is a one-mile illuminated walk through the Allerton formal gardens featuring light sculpture art installations. Artists will propose installations via the application form, including rental fees, dimensions, and installation requirements, and must be present for the installation and removal of the sculpture. Park staff will be able to assist with installation and removal, but artists must be prepared to take the lead. Artists may also be present for opening night to interact with the public, but it is not a requirement.

Art domestique Gallery: Small Works Show

Art Domestique Gallery would like to invite you to be a part of our annual Small Works Show. There will be a $25.00 entry fee for this show. The prizes for this show will be 1st prize $250, 2nd prize $125, 3rd prize $75. The Small Works Exhibit will be held from November 1st-December 31st at Art Domestique Gallery in downtown Washington, Iowa. Art Domestique Gallery would like to offer you, the Artist, an opportunity to showcase your work, in your medium.

Call for Artists to Display ARTWORK
​at the Moline Public Library

The Moline Public Library, is seeking artists for temporary displays. Displays of 2 to 3 months to allow a full range of our public to see and appreciate the artwork. There is no fee to display and no commission on any works purchased. There are spaces next to each display area for artists to show contact information. As this is not retail space we do not allow prices on the works themselves. 
 
All proposed shows need to be primarily 2-D artwork. There is limited availability of 3-D art display space. The main show is in our central “Blue Wall” area ( 30' long), and Gallery Hallway Cases (2x 7'wide x 9' tall x 18" deep) that space is for 2-D work only. We also accept proposals for two artists or small group shows. Please contact, David Zahn at dzahnkoi@yahoo.com for more information with sample images.

Individual Artist Support (IAS)
through the illinois Art Council Agency

The Individual Artist Support (IAS) program assists Illinois artists to realize a career goal, take advantage of a professional opportunity, or to produce and present an artistic project.
The IAS program encompasses two different tracks. Each track has specific limitations and requirements. Review each track’s guidelines thoroughly to determine which best suits your goals. Artists may apply to only one track each fiscal year.

Bishop Hill Creative Commons is a for-profit arts cooperative dedicated to helping artists make a living from their creative endeavors. In addition to our art gallery, we regularly host classes, workshops, storytelling events, and concerts, featuring performers from all over the globe. Quad City Arts features the work of emerging artists who have 10-20 canvases or framed pieces of art to exhibit in our Second Avenue Window Gallery for 6-8 weeks. Sculpture is also welcome. All artists will be featured with their own page on our website during the exhibit. Become a Featured Artist on "Quad Cities Live"

KWQC TV6 and Quad City Arts has formed a partnership to feature artists on their latest Friday segment "QC Live". TV6 encourages local artists to create and submit new versions of their Quad Cities Live logo. During these segments artists are able to talk about the inspiration for their logo and feature up to seven (7) pieces of artwork. All interviews are currently done remotely.
