Quad City Arts Operations DirectorQuad City Arts is looking for an Operations Director to join our team! If you have a passion for the arts, experience in finance, technology, and event operations, this could be the perfect role for you!
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Operations Director plays a key role in managing and improving internal processes, managing finances, and overseeing technology infrastructure for Quad City Arts. This position is responsible for financial oversight, event logistics, and IT infrastructure, particularly for major events like Festival of Trees. The Operations Director works collaboratively with the Executive Director, Development Director, and other staff to align operations with organizational goals. "are you really Winning?" Art CompetitionTo bring attention to a statewide educational campaign addressing problem gambling, Illinois-based artists ages 14 and up, are called to shine a light on the journey from darkness to hope for individuals challenged with gambling addiction.
Are You Really Winning? invites artists to participate in this statewide campaign through the submission of artwork that will bring a powerful voice to problem gambling issues and motivate those afflicted with gambling addiction to seek help. Entries will be reviewed by a professional jury and stipends of $2,000, $1,000 and $500 will be awarded to selected emerging and/or established artists. Additionally, Visa gift cards of $100 will be awarded for up to five artists in the Student category. Selected artwork will be unveiled at the Illinois Council on Problem Gambling conference in June 2025, and will be featured in several public exhibits throughout the state. Creative Accelerator FundThe Illinois Arts Council’s (IAC) Creative Accelerator Fund (CAF) provides crucial support to artists with a goal of strengthening the creative workforce that composes a significant portion of Illinois’ economic activity. CAF selection is determined by a regional randomized selection process in partnership with Illinois

Geneseo Fine Arts ExhibitArtists aged 14 and up are invited to submit up to 3 pieces for the Geneseo Fine Arts Exhibition. Intake for art is to be held on Thursday, April 24 between 11am-3pm. and again 5-7pm, on Friday, April 25 between 11am-3pm and on Saturday, April 26 (Artwalk day in Geneseo!) between 11am-3pm at Rutabaga Art Gallery. The show will open on May 4 at The Cellar Restaurant and our Gallery and remain open during regular hours (Th-Sat from 10:30am-3pm at our gallery and Wed-Sun 5-9pm at The Cellar) through May 27. Works must be original concept and creation of the artist, not previously exhibited in this event, and created within the last 3 years.

NewBo Art Festival Call for ArtistsNewBo Art Fest is a juried art fair consisting of no more than 40 booths. The New Bohemia District is a Mainstreet historical area that includes : local food vendors and restaurants serving Mexican, Indian, Korean, hamburgers, grilled cheese, a bakery, pizza, chocolates, coffee shop, juice bar, local wine and beer bar, popcorn and ice cream, international music, art and performance venues. Specialty shops that include a book store, bicycle store, clothing stores, gift shops, guitar store, skateboard shop, second hand furniture, yoga studios, a running shoe store, a record vinyl store, artists’ studios and art galleries.

Sculpture is also welcome. All artists will be featured with their own page on our website during the exhibit. Become a Featured Artist on "Quad Cities Live"KWQC TV6 and Quad City Arts has formed a partnership to feature artists on their latest Friday segment "QC Live". TV6 encourages local artists to create and submit new versions of their Quad Cities Live logo. During these segments artists are able to talk about the inspiration for their logo and feature up to seven (7) pieces of artwork. All interviews are currently done remotely.
