Moline Public Art Request for QualificationsThe Moline Public Art Commission, MetroLINK, and Quad City Arts are seeking an artist or team to design and install an interactive public art installation at 1315 4th Avenue, Moline, Illinois, as part of the Moline Public Art and Placemaking Plan. The site includes the grassy plaza east of the multimodal transit station and the elevator building to the skywalk, with potential for lit sculptures, murals, or a combination of both to activate the space and invite community engagement. The artwork should be bold, colorful, fun, and unique, reflecting themes of poetry, nature, or abstract designs while considering scale, and lighting.

Folk Arts Mentorship ProgramFunded by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Illinois Arts Council’s (IAC) Folk Arts Mentorship (FAM) grant supports the mentoring relationship that develops between exemplary practitioners working with dedicated apprentices. This program allows for concentrated study and cultural transmission to preserve traditional practices important to the artists’ community, heritage, and identity. Ethnic, folk, and traditional arts provide meaningful ways for individuals to connect with their past and build bridges to others and their surroundings in the present. Ethnic, folk, and traditional arts are dynamic, reflecting change and individual innovation over generations of practitioners.
This is a $4,000 taxable award to the Mentor artist and a $1,000 taxable award to the Apprentice artist. Mentor and Apprentice artists much each submit their own applications. Regional Contemporary WoodTurning ExhibitionQuad City Arts is hosting a woodturning exhibition February-May of 2025. All woodturners residing within 250 miles of Rock Island, IL, are eligible and may enter up to 3 Pieces of work for show and sale in two galleries. Artisans are free to use any medium, but at least part of the piece must be created on a lathe. Work must not exceed 24” in any dimension. Collaborations are accepted. Entry fee is $30.

Quad City Arts Annual Call for EntriesShowcase your sculptures, ceramics, fiber, multi-media, video art, neon or 2D art in one of Quad City Arts’ two unique galleries. Join 1-2 fellow artists for a two-month exhibition between Oct. 2025 – Sept. 2026. Your art will also be featured in our online sales gallery.
Quad City Arts’ Rock Island Gallery occupies a 1908 department store near the banks of the Mississippi River. The gallery offers 1,500 sq. feet of space with 106 running feet of wall space. Art at the Airport Gallery inside the Quad Cities International Airport, Moline, IL. boasts 1,600 sq. feet of exhibition space enclosed by 7’ tall glass panels. Second Avenue Window GalleryQuad City Arts features the work of emerging artists who have 10-20 canvases or framed pieces of art to exhibit in our Second Avenue Window Gallery for 6-8 weeks. Sculpture is also welcome. All artists will be featured with their own page on our website during the exhibit. Become a Featured Artist on "Quad Cities Live"KWQC TV6 and Quad City Arts has formed a partnership to feature artists on their latest Friday segment "QC Live". TV6 encourages local artists to create and submit new versions of their Quad Cities Live logo. During these segments artists are able to talk about the inspiration for their logo and feature up to seven (7) pieces of artwork. All interviews are currently done remotely.
