Behind The Scenes At Quad City Arts

Our spring newsletter is out and we have so many events coming up! This information on upcoming events will help to highlight how you can continue to engage and help Quad City Arts have a greater impact our community. But it leaves out some important details about the incredible projects we are working on.

• Thanks to an anonymous funder, we will be offering quality professional development workshops created specifically for artists. The topics will range from marketing to legal considerations and so much more. When these workshops become available, we will announce them through all our marketing channels (social media, email, website, etc.)
  
  
• Thanks to a comprehensive study we know that non-profit arts and culture entities have a $71 million economic impact here in the Quad Cities, but this number is also close to seven years old! During 2022-2023, Quad City Arts will be working with Americans for the Arts to redo this study. The Iowa Arts Council, the Quad Cities Cultural Trust, and Visit Quad Cities are all supporting this endeavor and we are thankful for their support!
  
  
• This year we will begin to explore and develop an artist database where artists can submit their information and examples of their work and people looking for a local artist can search them out. This continues to be a request in our artist community, and we aim to deliver one in 2022.
  
  
• A new season of Visiting Artists is ready for scheduling in schools! Nine incredible artists from all across the US will be joining us in the Quad Cities for outreach programs. If you're a school or university, don't forget to book these artists now! (First come first serve scheduling)
  
  
• In addition to the above highlights, we continue to assist in the Quad Cities wide placemaking initiatives that are working to both add public art and infuse art into infrastructure redesigns.

Really, all of this is to say, we are already working on another exciting year at Quad City Arts! Thank you for your continued support of the arts and our creative community.
